The Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) is frequently listed as one of the most dangerous places on Earth to be a woman or girl. In the North Kivu province, conflict has exposed women and girls to unfathomable levels of suffering. In overcrowded and dangerous displacement camps in and around the provincial capital, at least 70 women per day face sexual violence.
