Critical humanitarian assistance for women and girls is needed in North Kivu, eastern Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC). We are responding. You can help.
Doctors Without Borders/Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) teams have sounded the alarm over catastrophic levels of sexual violence in overcrowded displacement sites surrounding Goma, the provincial capital.
At least 70 women a day are sexually assaulted in the camps. Most report being attacked while they are searching for food, wood or other essentials for their families.
MSF teams are doing everything they can to provide people with critical medical care. During the month of July alone, 1,500 female survivors of sexual violence sought care from MSF teams.
We must continue responding to emergencies like this in North Kivu and more than 70 other countries around the world. You can help.
