Escalating conflict in the Middle East region is forcing people to flee their homes, separating families and cutting off access to medical care. Bombing continues in cities and villages. The number of people killed and injured is rising.
Doctors Without Borders/Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) is alarmed by this dramatic escalation in violence. We are closely monitoring the situation and are adapting our activities in Lebanon, Iran and beyond.
To respond to people’s urgent needs, we have launched the Middle East Fund, which will enable us to adapt our operations to a full-scale emergency response, as the challenging situation allows, without drawing critical resources away from our other essential projects around the world.
MSF rarely asks for earmarked funding for specific emergencies. Unrestricted gifts from supporters like you allow us to respond immediately to emergencies and go wherever people’s needs are greatest. But today, urgent and emerging humanitarian needs in the Middle East require dedicated support.
As people’s medical needs far outpace the international community’s response, your designated gift to our Middle East Fund will help us prepare and respond to the humanitarian consequences of this regional conflict while also maintaining critical essential operations in the region.
We are counting on you. Please make an emergency gift today.
We are raising $500,000 to help our teams continue providing urgent medical care to people affected by this conflict. Gifts made after the goal has been met will be used where people’s needs are greatest.
